Focus Builds Guide

Focus is Ro-Ghoul’s permanent stat system. Every level grants three Focus points until you hit the level 2,000 cap — 6,000 total points to split across Physical, Kagune or Quinque, Durability, and Speed. Unlike RC, which resets when Ghouls swap Kagune, Focus follows your character unless you pay 25 Robux for a redo, use the Infinite Redo Focus gamepass, or redeem a rare code token. Mistakes are expensive; this guide explains the caps, common build archetypes, and when to pivot.

Open Focus from the bottom GUI (same bar as Stages). Physical raises dash distance and melee damage. Kagune or Quinque raises weapon skill damage. Durability raises HP and block duration. Speed raises sprint speed and lowers dash cooldown. Competitive players almost always hit two breakpoints first: 100 Physical (dash range cap) and 200 Speed (movement cap). Points beyond those breakpoints on Physical or Speed still add punch damage up to 6000, but many guides call extra Physical wasteful compared to weapon stats.

Build archetypes

Glass cannon

After capping Speed and Physical, dump everything into Kagune or Quinque. This is the fastest leveling style and the dominant Matchmaking burst pattern for CCG mains running IXA or Owl. You kill before enemies chew through your HP. Downside: one mistake in open-world PvP and you respawn broke on Yen timer.

Example endgame glass (level 2000, 6000 points):

  • Physical 100
  • Speed 200
  • Kagune or Quinque ~3500–4000
  • Durability remainder (~1700–2200)

Some hardcore farmers run even lower Durability during wall methods because bosses never touch them.

Balanced

Split weapon and Durability after caps — common ratios 70/30 or 60/40 (Kagune/Quinque to Durability). Hinami Fueguchi and Ken Kaneki players often prefer balanced spreads because their kits already supply range or sustain. CCG Scorpion users stay balanced while learning combos before respeccing glass for IXA.

Example balanced CCG:

  • Physical 100, Speed 200
  • Quinque 3300, Durability 2400

Tank

Durability highest after caps, with enough Kagune or Quinque to finish fights. Rare in high Matchmaking but useful for AFK NPC farming or holding zones in King of the Hill events. Koukaku lines with block tools synergize better than Ukaku glass.

Example tank Ghoul:

  • Physical 100, Speed 200
  • Durability 3000+, Kagune 2500

Leveling path (do not spread evenly)

From level 1, most guides recommend:

  1. Stack Kagune or Quinque early for kill speed while farming RC or Yen.
  2. Raise Speed toward 200 as soon as PvP opens — dodging matters more than extra HP in low levels.
  3. Touch Physical to 100 when you rely on dash engages or wall escapes.
  4. Add Durability only when you die repeatedly or enter boss content without wall strats.

CCG players using Clipped Wing often max Quinque first because movement skills scale with weapon stat. Ghouls buying Ken Kaneki mirror the same glass curve before second-guessing Durability at mid levels.

Resets and codes

Free-to-play leveling guides sometimes tell you to avoid specific redo codes until max level so you can glass-stack cheaply, then reset once into a final build. If you already redeemed a redo, commit to a archetype early — see CCG Build for 4:1 Quinque ratios.

Check Codes before spending Robux. Use the Focus Planner to preview totals at level 500, 1000, and 2000.

Faction-specific notes

Ghouls: weapon stat is Kagune. Swapping Kagune does not refund Focus — only RC. Pick a long-term main from Kagune Tier List before hyper-investing.

CCG: weapon stat is Quinque. Early Clipped Wing into late IXA/Owl is normal; you keep Focus while swapping weapons.

Matchmaking vs farming

Farm lobbies reward pure glass — kill NPCs faster, reset when you die. Matchmaking rewards glass too, but only if you play clean. Drop 500–800 points from Quinque into Durability if your death rate stalls rank climb.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common RoGhoul questions.

What is the max level and total Focus points?

Level 2000 is the current cap. You earn 3 Focus points per level for 6000 total points before accounting for any external bonuses from codes or events.

Should I put more than 100 Physical or 200 Speed?

Extra Physical increases punch and kick damage up to 6000 but not dash range beyond 100. Extra Speed beyond 200 does not improve movement. Most players stop at caps and invest elsewhere.

Glass or balanced for my first max-level build?

Glass is faster to level and stronger in Matchmaking if your mechanics are solid. Choose balanced if you die often during farms or play slower Kagune like Hinami that already cover defense.
