RoGhoul Ro-Ghoul Kagune Tier List
S through D rankings for every Ghoul Kagune — damage, range, RC stages, and Yen costs.
Ghouls in Ro-Ghoul fight with Kagune — bio-weapons tied to Ukaku, Koukaku, Rinkaku, Bikaku, Chimera, and rare Kakuja lines. Unlocking a new Kagune costs Yen at the Kakuhou shop and resets your RC progress, so choosing wisely saves weeks of farming. This page ranks every named Kagune from S-tier (meta staples worth long-term investment) to D-tier (avoid unless you are memeing).
Rankings reflect community consensus from PvP hubs, Matchmaking, and the official Discord, cross-checked against Fandom skill notes. Patches move needles — treat tiers as a snapshot and revisit the Tier List Hub after major combat updates.
How Kagune tiers work
We judge each unlock on damage consistency, combo potential, range, stage evolution payoffs, utility (healing, flight, armor), Yen price, and skill floor. A 500K starter faces different expectations than a 500M Chimera. Focus allocation matters too; see Ghoul Build after you pick a main.

S-Tier Kagune
These four define Ghoul PvP conversation in most seasons.
Ken Kaneki (Rinkaku) — 500K Yen
The default recommendation for new Ghouls who can afford him. Six evolution stages, enormous reach, strong mix of melee and ranged Rinkaku skills, and one of the best cost-to-power ratios in the game. Pair with glass Kagune Focus after capping Speed and Physical. Community rank: undisputed S-tier.
Touka Kirishima (Ukaku) — 500K Yen
Fast Ukaku projectiles and aggressive blink-style pressure at a bargain 500K. Two modes switch between melee and ranged, making her ideal for players who want speed over Kaneki’s raw length. Slightly harder to master than Kaneki but still S-tier for rushdown.
Hinami Fueguchi (Chimera) — 250M Yen
Late-game control monster. Huge range, defensive tools, and pacing that rewards methodical players rather than coin-flip rushes. Expensive, but S-tier in organized fights where you can dictate spacing. Often run with balanced Durability Focus.
Akuma No Ketsueki (Ukaku) — 250M Yen
Aggressive Ukaku with healing, flight, and hybrid range. S-tier for mobile assassins who want sustain without fully tanking Focus. Two stages; budget RC farming before purchase.
Seidou Takizawa (Ukaku) — 100M Yen
Some tier lists place Takizawa in S-tier for multi-angle stabs and long-range coverage at a mid-high price. If your server meta is projectile-heavy, he competes with Eto for A/S border — we list him high A but acknowledge S-tier votes.
A-Tier Kagune
Strong mains that lose small trades to S-tier range or consistency.
- Eto Yoshimura (Ukaku, 250M) — projectile spam and burst; weaker non-projectile skills keep her below Hinami.
- Kichimaru Washuu (Rinkaku, 250M) — huge hitboxes; veterans swap off once aim improves.
- Tonakai (Chimera, 150M) — crowd control and defense; slow animations hold it back.
B-Tier Kagune
Viable in niche hands or mid-game lobbies.
- Yakumo Oomori (Rinkaku, 100M) — helicopter-style damage without combo or defense.
- Kakujira (Chimera, 500M) — slow crowd control; patience required.
- Tatara (Bikaku, 150M) — fast early form; evolution disappoints.
- Lycan (Koukaku, 200M) — melee sustain for players who like brawls.
- Kosshi (Ukaku, 175M) — inconsistent projectile RNG.
- Noro (Bikaku, 50M) — regen and multi-hit projectiles with low damage.
C-Tier Kagune
Learn the game, not the meta.
- Koutarou Amon (Ukaku, 200M) — cool visuals, poor range and versatility for price.
- Nishiki Nishio (Bikaku, 500K) — tutorial Kagune; decent Kakuja path for budget players per community guides.
D-Tier Kagune
Skip unless you collect cosmetics.
- Kakukong (Chimera, 500M) — meme pick; weak damage and control.
- Renji Yomo (Ukaku, 150M) — low damage and range for cost.
- Shuu Tsukiyama (Koukaku, 500M) — underperforms in every content type.
Kagune type cheat sheet

| Koukaku | Defense and block | Short reach |
| Rinkaku | Reach and healing lines | Can be slow |
| Bikaku | Speed and balanced kits | Rarely best-in-slot |
| Chimera | Hybrid skills | High Yen prices |
| Kakuja | Transformation power | Gated behind specific unlocks |
RC and staging reminder
RC from NPCs and players fuels stage unlocks. Swapping Kagune wipes RC — farm before you experiment. Triangle methods (Aogiri for RC, CCG for Yen) remain standard; details live in Guides.
Matchmaking note
Open-world brawls favor range and sustain (Kaneki, Hinami). Small-team Matchmaking may reward Touka or Akuma mobility. No Trello from SushiWalrus lists official tiers — community boards like Aogiri Tree Trellos are faction fluff, not balance bibles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common RoGhoul questions.
Ken Kaneki or Touka for a first main?
Most veterans recommend Ken Kaneki for reach, stage count, and forgiving combos at 500K Yen. Touka suits aggressive Ukaku players who prefer speed and mode swapping. Avoid buying both until you understand RC reset costs.
Is Nishiki worth 500K as a starter?
Nishiki is C-tier for combat but teaches fundamentals cheaply and has a serviceable Kakuja route on a budget. Speed runners skip him; cautious beginners may buy before saving for Kaneki.
Does swapping Kagune reset Focus?
No — Focus persists. RC resets to zero, so you must re-farm stages on the new Kagune. Plan Focus using our Ghoul Build guide before you swap.
